Hormone Imbalance
Hormones are powerful and unique chemicals that are produced in the endocrine glands. They are often described as the body’s chemical messengers as they travel throughout the bloodstream to tell different tissues and organs what to do.
A delicate balance of hormones is required to control the various bodily functions and processes, as such, if the levels of these hormones fluctuate even slightly, then serious ramifications could occur throughout the body.
Sometimes, hormonal imbalances are a result of the natural ageing process and other times they are a result of bodily changes, such as a pregnancy, illness and some medical treatments for example. In some cases, however, the human body can simply get the recipe wrong. The signs and symptoms of a hormonal imbalance will vary depending on the hormone in question, as a result, there is a wide range of symptoms that could indicate a hormonal imbalance.
