Skin and Collagen Regeneration

Skin and Collagen Regeneration

Stimulate the skin into producing an abundance of collagen and elastin, which plumps up the skin from the inside with amazing results, reducing redness and visibly reducing the stretch mark scars.

Laser or microneedling treatments are the effective forms of treatment available for stretch marks. A laser uses wavelengths of light to target the area of concern to stimulate the collagen.

The PicoSure laser uses pulse intervals within a fraction of a second. It was first designed for tattoo removal but with the advance in technology, the focus lens array was developed for the PicoSure laser. The PicoSure laser tricks the skin into producing an abundance of collagen and elastin, which plumps up the skin from the inside with amazing results, reducing redness and visibly reducing the stretch mark scars. SkinPen creates controlled micro-injuries to stimulate the body’s natural wound-healing process, while minimising cellular damage. The result is effective remodelling of scar tissue, while keeping the overall structure of the skin intact.

Step 1

DETOX
Lymphatic drainage helps to increase circulation of the lymphatic system. This increases blood flow to the area, bringing oxygen to support the cells whilst also bringing fresh clean lymph to restore hydration, tone and firm the skin, and eliminate toxins.

Step 2

DEEP CLEANSING & EXFOLIATION
Dead skin cells are gently exfoliated to reveal healthy, new skin whilst, simultaneously, a serum containing lactic acid, glucosamine and many botanical extracts is delivered deeply to cleanse and nourish the skin.

Step 3

BRIGHTENING AGENT
This gentle glycolic and salicylic solution helps loosen debris from your pores ready for the extraction stage whilst brightening the appearance of the skin.

Step 4

EXTRACTION
Effortless extractions help to remove blackheads and draw out impurities in congested areas using a serum of natural salicylic acid and honey extract.

Step 5

HYDRATION
HydraFacial Vortex-Fusion technology delivers a cocktail of hydrating hyaluronic acid and the most advanced and powerful antioxidants, peptides and multi-peptides to replenish the skin, leaving it hydrated, plumped up and at optimum skin health

Step 6

REJUVENATION
Red and infrared LED light is used to reduce redness and further stimulate collagen. The light also supports the natural production of vitamin D, leaving your skin glowing.

No Obligation Consultation

Your first step is a no-obligation Visia consultation at Skintique Clinic with one of our skin specialists.

Meeting your Practitioner and the Consultation

Meeting your practitioner for your one-to-one consultation.

This will include:
• A full assessment your skin, concerns and desired results.
• Details about the procedure, likely outcomes and costs. After taking a full medical history and reviewing your Visia Gen8 images your practitioner will discuss the range of treatments available at Skintique Clinic for your skin concerns. Your practitioner will design a bespoke plan with you based on your expectations. You will also be provided with detailed information on the procedures, the likely outcomes and the approximate timescales. Should you then wish to go ahead with the treatments a future appointment will be made.

Treatment

On arrival for your treatment, you will be asked to check over your medical history form to confirm that nothing has changed. You will be then asked to complete a treatment consent form.

The treatment can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour or more depending on the treatment.

Results Review

Many of our treatments are progressive and require a course of treatment for the optimal result. Some conditions will need maintenance treatments to maintain the final result. Your practitioner will indicate the approximate number of treatments with you at the start. But as everyone is different this can only be used as an approximate guide and not as a guarantee.

The skin cycle on a health individual who has regular treatments is approximately 6 weeks.

Next Appointment

Our team will arrange your next appointment before you leave the clinic.

SkinPen – Individual prices start at £250 with a course of 3 treatments on the face costing £625

Frequently asked questions

Is this treatment Suitable for me?

SkinPen is suitable for all skin types, and can effectively treat:
Fine lines and wrinkles
Uneven skin tone / texture
Pigmentation due to sun damage or ageing
Dull skin
Scarring

How does the treatment work?

SkinPen is used to perform microneedling. This process is also known as skin needling or collagen induction therapy. It uses small needles to cause tiny punctures in the skin. These tiny points of contact encourage the body to create a wound-healing response, which renews the skin cells. As your skin repairs, the production of collagen and elastin is triggered to give an almost immediate plumping effect. It can also help tackle other skin damage such as scarring, dark marks, sun damage and ageing.

How is the treatment performed?

Following the application of a topical anaesthetic approximately 30 minutes prior to treatment, the medical-grade microneedling tool is applied to targeted areas of the face or body.

How does the treatment feel?

The treatment is generally described as mildly uncomfortable at most, due to the nature of the procedure – and is considered to be more comfortable than many other micro-needling treatments due to the SkinPen’s high-speed needle motor for swift skin penetration.
