Oily Skin
As one of the most frequently talked about types of skin, oily skin is often perceived negatively and this is due to its association with common conditions such as acne.
In those with oily skin, sebum (a natural lubricant) is produced in abundance and is a major factor in the development of clogged pores and regular breakouts.
Although this type of skin is said to be genetic, there are also many internal and external influences that can have an impact over how and when it presents itself. These include periods of physical and emotional stress and, in the case of women, during menstruation.
