Menopause
The Menopause is a natural process that occurs as the ovaries age and produce less reproductive hormones. Officially, It happens when a woman hasn’t had a period for 12 consecutive months, and as such, can no longer produce eggs or get pregnant (through natural methods.)
Usually, the menopause begins in women between the ages of 45 and 55, however, it can occur before and after this time. The menopause can cause unfavourable changes and symptoms, this can include heavy periods, insomnia, weight gain and increased feelings of anxiety, depression and mood swings.
Women who experience severe symptoms have their quality of their life and daily routine affected and that of those around them.
