We will always discuss your medical history during your consultation to make sure the treatment is safe for you.
Treatment is not suitable if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you are undergoing IVF treatment.
Anti-wrinkle treatments are also not advised for:
People with neuromuscular disorders e.g. myasthenia gravis.
People taking certain muscle relaxants and antibodies e.g. aminoglycosides.
Infection or inflammation at the proposed site of injection.
Bleeding disorders.

The injected product relaxes specific facial muscles that cause unwanted lines. It does this by blocking nerve signals to the muscle, to prevent it contracting. This causes a long-term reduction in the appearance of unwanted lines and wrinkles.
Common areas include the frown, forehead and crow’s feet areas. Once treated, the lines are smoothed away to create a more youthful appearance. A brow lift, jaw smoothing, neck lift, downturned mouth and gummy smile lines can also be treated.

As every client’s skin and required goals are unique, a bespoke consultation is essential prior to undergoing any advanced non-surgical treatment. During the consultation, we will discuss any problem areas, desired improvements, options available (including no treatment at all) and expected outcomes.
Should Anti-Wrinkle treatments be agreed upon as the most suitable treatment, tiny amounts of the product will be injected directly into the muscles that are responsible for contraction using an ultra-fine needle.
The injections are virtually painless, therefore require no anaesthetic.
These are completed within a matter of minutes.

With botulinum toxin injections, there is no downtime. In fact, it is possible to have this treatment in a lunch break and return straight back to work.
The risk of side effects is minimal. However, as with any injectable treatment, some clients may experience mild localised bruising, redness or swelling at the injection site.
Thorough cleansing of the skin prior to treatment and careful placement of the injections by a skilled practitioner helps to ensure these risks are as minimal as possible.
